Prestressed Slab Structure
CONSTRUCTION
The safest, earthquake-resistant residential building. The first residential building in Bulgaria made of prestressed slab structure (slab post-tensioning), is designed and will be performed by the design and construction team of the first Bulgarian skyscraper, located on Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd.
Additional elements are added to the conventional beamless reinforced concrete structure in each slab according to Swiss technology. (FIG. 1, FIG. 2, FIG. 3, FIG.4). The advantage that gives this avant-garde for housing construction construction are:
- In practice, lack of support columns, hence large free spaces in the premises and The possibility of merging or dividing the premises at the request of the client
- Fewer columns and beams lead to less dead weight of the structure, therefore reduced seismic effects and reduced load on the foundations.
